Washington Greene County Caravan 2
Caravan No. 2 gives an opportunity to local Shriners to share their brotherhood and to serve the Shrine at the local level by fund raising events that benefit both the Caravan and also Syria Shriners.
Syria Temple’s Potentate, George Meyers and his Divan traveled to Washington, PA on October 2, 1924 to install 125 new Shriners. The Ceremonial was held in the State Theatre. On March 16, 1931 an organization meeting was held in the George Washington Hotel to combine nobles from Washington County and Greene County to form Washington/Greene County Caravan No. 2
We have meetings on the third Wednesday of each month from September thru May. The meetings are held at the American Legion Post 175 at 168 Park Ave. Washington, PA.
We have three main events each year: A golf outing held at a local golf course, a Summer Stag Picnic and the Annual Meeting and Banquet to honor Syria’s Potentate and his Divan and their ladies.
Prospective members of Washington/Greene County Caravan No. 2 must be members of Syria Temple.
