V.A.L. Caravan 13
V.A.L. Caravan #13
V.A.L. Caravan #13’s goal is camaraderie and fundraising amongst local Shriners in the Vandergrift, Apollo, Leechburg, PA area and other surrounding communities.
V.A.L. Caravan No. 13 was founded on February 13, 1925, when Illustrious Sir Samuel C. Jamison, P.P., was Potentate. This Caravan covers the Vandergrift, Apollo, Freeport, Leechburg and Avonmore areas in Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties.
Meetings are at the call of the President, and at various locations.
To create fraternal friendliness among Nobles this Caravan holds a Summer Corn & Hot Dog Roast and Potentate’s Brunch to name a couple. They are also involved in many Syria Shrine activities, such as the Gun Bash and Annual Potentate Stag. Also, in conjunction with the Bonfire Pig Roast Committee, V.A.L. Caravan No. 13 assists with The ORIGINAL R-U-Tuff- Enuff Pig Roast event which is held the weekend before the Super Bowl every year - rain, snow, or shine!
To become a member of V.A.L. Caravan #13 prospective candidates must be a Shriner in good standing with the organization and willing to volunteer your time to our meetings and events to benefit our cause.
