Penn Hills Caravan 20


Penn Hills Caravan 20 was chartered by Illustrious Sir Willard C. Cutlers, Potentate of Syria Shrine in 1956. After Caravans were approved for Allegheny County, we became the second such group.

Noble Henry L Snyder was Elected the first President by 607 Chapter members. The Caravan covers the communities of Penn Hills Township, Wilkinsburg, Wilkins Borough, Church Hill Borough, Forest Hills, Plum, Turtle Creek, Monroeville, Verona, East Pittsburgh, Braddock-North Braddock Swissvale Trafford, and Edgewood.

Our Caravan endorses and continues to be guided by the purposes set forth in our charter which is described as : A voluntary unincorporated association formed for the social purpose, the promotion of good fellowship among the members, and for the furthering of the interest of our fraternity in the area served.

Monthly meetings will continue to be the third Wednesday of each month starting on January 19 at Osteria Pasqualino Restaurant in Murrysville on Route 22.

During the monthly meetings the officers and members outline the yearly activities for the Caravan. All members are welcome to attend these meetings.

2025 CALENDAR OF EVENTS

+ Joint Caravan 16, Caravan 20, Knights of Mecca, The Provost Guard and the Rode Rigs of Syria Shrine on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Palmieri’s Restaurant.

+ Caravan 20 and the Hillbillies are hosting a fundraiser brunch series this spring. Sunday, January 19th, Sunday, February 16th and Sunday, March 23rd at the Pittsburgh Shrine Center from 9am to 2pm.
